Rev. J. Frank Sanders, Jr., 93, passed away on Friday, August 20, 2021, he was the husband of the late Jane Ludlam Sanders who passed away in 1979 and his second wife, Virginia Burrell Sanders who passed away in 2018.

Born in Greenville, he was the son of the late J. Frank and Eula Myers Sanders, Sr.

Rev. Sanders was the former pastor of Agnew Road Baptist Church having served for 22 years and retiring in 1980. A man of great faith who lived by John 3:16, he will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved him.

He is survived by two loving daughters, Mary Ivester & Sharon Morse; four grandchildren, Stephanie Ivester, Aaron Ivester, Michael Morse & Karen Morse; two brothers, Eddie Sanders & Donnie Sanders.

In addition to his wives and parents, Rev. Sanders was preceded in death by a grandson, Daniel Ivester and a brother, Gene Sanders.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 23, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. in the Thomas McAfee Northwest Chapel. Burial will be in Greenville Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Miracle Hill Ministries at 490 S. Pleasantburg Drive, Greenville, SC 29607.

To Rev Sanders family, I want to share my memory with you and my Condolences..Rev Sanders knocked on my door in 1972. I was 4 years old..I Road the church bus with him for 7 years..He came to our school on weekdays, and revival..He visited us weekly..He loved to fill the bus with children and I loved going.. I knew as a young girl, Rev Sanders had such a love for all..The work he put into all of us kids, to have a way to get us to church and to learn about Jesus. Rev Sanders thank you..
