Rev. Jesse Aaron Silvers

April 8, 1942 - January 7, 2006
Reverend Jesse Aaron Silvers, 63, of 4 Salem Court, died Saturday, January 07, 2006 at Greenville Memorial Hospital. Born in Rutherfordton County, NC, he was the husband of Ann Snelson Silvers and a son of the late Bulo and Vera Henderson Silvers. Rev. Silvers was educated in N.C. Public Schools, then graduated from Fruitland Bible College. He formerly served as youth pastor at Jackson Mills Baptist Church in Wellford, SC and as Associate Pastor at Northview Baptist Church in Spartanburg, SC. Presently, Rev. Silvers serves as a Sunday School teacher at Monaghan Baptist Church in Greenville and as Chaplin of the West Greenville Adult Day Care Center. Rev. Silvers also worked for National Car Rentals as a driver. Surviving in addition to his loving wife of 25 years, are two daughters, Jana Silvers Baron, and husband, John, Elizabeth Silvers Cribbs, and husband, Danny, all of Inman, SC; four grandchildren, Andrew and Kristen Brooks, Spencer and Jonathan Baron; five sisters, Inez Wall, Dorothy Street and Geraldine Montgomery, all of Forest City, NC, Betty Jean Hicks, of Greensboro, NC and Freida Gillis of Greenville, SC; a brother, Otis Silvers of Chesnee, SC. Funeral services will be 3:00 pm, Tuesday at Monaghan Baptist Church with burial in Grandview Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 6:30 ? 8:00 pm, Monday at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest Chapel. Memorials may be made to Monaghan Baptist Church Food Ministry, 1500 West Parker Road, Greenville, SC 29617. The family will be at the residence.
