Richard Grant Olstein

Richard "Rick" Grant Olstein, 51, of 207 Nix Circle, died Sunday, February 3, 2008. Born in Centerport, NY, he was a son of Alan H. Olstein and stepmother Phyllis of Boca Raton, FL and the late Eunice Townsend Olstein. Mr. Olstein graduated in 1974 from Harborfields High School in Greenlawn, NY and served in the US Army. He was employed with Carolina Handling for twenty years and was of the Baptist faith. Rick always dedicated his love to his family and was also known for his personality and for helping others. He was loved by all and will be greatly missed by those he left behind which includes his wife of fourteen years, Pamela Cranford Olstein, of the home who considered him her hero; four daughters, Alisha and Cassidy Olstein of the home, Amanda Olstein of Greenville, and Jilene Olstein and fiancé Myles Washington of Greenville; two granddaughters, Lauren and Skyy; five brothers, Alan r. Olstein and wife Ampora of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Stephen J. Olstein and wife Linda Morel of Lyme, CT, Harry T. Olstein and wife Jeanette of Orlando, FL, Paul E. Olstein of Brentwood, NY, and Peter D. Olstein and wife Leah of Miami, FL; numerous nieces and nephews; and father and mother-in-law, Buddy and Nancy Cranford. The family wishes to thank Chad and Ramanda Cranford for their constant love and support throughout Rick's illness. A gathering of family and friends will be held Thursday, February 7, 2008 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. The family is at the residence.
