Robert A. Bagwell

November 29, 1929 - June 3, 2006
Robert A. Bagwell, of 119 Oak Hill Drive, died Saturday, June 3, 2006 at the age of 76. Born in Pickens County, he was the son of the late Newman and Malissie Porter Bagwell, and the husband of Shelby Rainey Bagwell. Mr. Bagwell was a veteran of the US Army and served in the Korean War. He was co-owner of Greenville Aluminum Products from which he retired after 23 years of service. He was a member of Trinity Way Baptist Church. Surviving is addition to his wife is a daughter, Lori Sarratt and her husband Clay of Fountain Inn; a son, Todd Bagwell and his wife Leah of Easley; a son, Travis Bagwell and his wife Julia of Easley; a brother Joe Bagwell of Greenville; and three grandchildren, Katherine Sarratt, Brett Bagwell, and Blake Bagwell. Memorials may be made to Trinity Way Baptist Church, Building Fund, P.O. Box 15090, Greenville, SC 29610. The family will receive friends on Monday, June 5, 2006 from 1:30 until 2:30 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. Graveside services will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Greenville Memorial Gardens. The family would like to thank the staff of Palmetto Pulmonary Group and Cancer Centers of the Carolinas for their exemplary care and dedication. The family is at the residence.
