Robert Alexander Jones, 96, of Greer, beloved husband of Rita B. Jones, passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2022.

Born in Register, GA, he was a son of the late Frank Calhoun and Maybelle Jones.

Robert was a Veteran of the United States Army and was the president of R.A. Jones, Inc. He was a member of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church and a 4th Degree Knight of the Knights of Columbus.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife and children; a son, Richard Jones (Dee Ann); daughter, Robyn Scott (David); three grandchildren, Alex, Christopher, and Katie; and a brother, Frank Jones.

In addition to his parents and his first wife, Jean McCoy Jones, Robert was preceded in death by his daughter, Karen Gramling; two brothers and seven sisters.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church. The burial will be held at a later date in Cathedral of the Pines Cemetery in Jaffrey, NH.

I remember him happiest outside ,sitting after working in his garden in Florida,drinking lemonade.Such a sweet person.I will miss him.

We are deeply saddened to hear of Robert’s passing. There was and will always be a special place in my heart whenever I hear his name. He always had a hug and greeting for Jacinta making her feel special. Pray for us,Robert as we will pray TO you!

Rita and family I am so sorry for your loss. Robert was a very joyfilled person that always had a smile on his face and a kind word for all. May God welcome him saying well done faithful servant.

He will be dearly missed by everyone who knew him, especially his beautiful wife and family. he always had a smile for everyone, he was engaging and kind. May the Lord's embrace welcome him into heaven.

Don and I have so many precious memories of the time we all spent together in Miami/Homestead, especially Square Dancing. Robert was such a special person and had a strong connection with Don. Even Hurricane Andrew and its aftermath could not seperate us or damage our friendship. Take care and stay strong as he would want!

Rita and Robyn, My heart hurts. Robert is a part of many of my favorite memories from high school. He always seemed to go out of his way to make our adventures fun! How he put up with two teenage girls all the time, I’ll never know. He was so kind to me and treated me like his own. He was an amazing man in so many ways. Heaven definitely gained an angel. Robert was a kind gentle man. He greeted everyone with a big smile. He loved his pets like they were his children. When he was able the dailey walks with his dog "Snickey" was a joy to watch.
