Robert Alexander Thompson

Robert ?Bob? Alexander Thompson, 72, of 3855 W. Georgia Road, husband of Mallie Alberson Thompson, died Friday, January 27, 2006 at his residence. Born in Fredericksburg, KY., he was the son of the late William Lloyd and Martha Mandisa Wheatley Thompson. Mr. Thompson was a retired business owner and was a member of Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church. He was a United States Air Force Veteran and a member of the VFW. Surviving in addition to his wife are three daughters and sons-in-law, Diane T. and Ricky Scott of Mechanicsville, VA., Theresa T. and Randy Galloway of Piedmont, Pamela T. and Ted Cockcroft of Duncan, SC.; three sisters, Molly Thompson of Bargetown, KY., Betty Ludlow of Louisville, KY., Charlotte Thompson of Boston, MA.; a brother, Bernard Thompson of Lexington, KY.; and nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Rose Marie, a son, Billy, and a grandson, Alex. A Vigil service will be held Sunday, January 29, 2006 at 6:00 PM with visitation to follow until 8:00 PM at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. A Funeral Mass will be conducted Monday, January 30, 2006 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Greenville Memorial Gardens. The family will be at the residence.
