Robert Edward Bowers, 50, of 3009 Old Buncombe Road, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, October 18, 2007.
Born in Greenville he was a son of Elizabeth and Fredrick Elrod of Greenville and the late Boyce Bowers.
Mr. Bowers was a member of Trinity Community Church.
Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife, Barbara Ann Hall Jones; three sons, William Bowers of Greenwood, and Daniel and Christopher Jones of Greenville; two grandchildren, Stephen Maness and Jordan Jones; three brothers, Ronald Bowers, Richard Bowers, and Kenn Elrod of Greenville; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a sister, Brenda Gail Matthews; and grandparents, William and Berthonia Franklin. Visitation will be held Saturday from 6:00 ? 7:30 pm at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest.
The funeral service will be held Sunday at 3:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Greenville Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to Trinity Community Church, PO Box 3806, Greenville, SC 29608.
The family is at the home of his mother, 414 Darlington Avenue.
