Robert Floyd Mahon, Jr

Robert ?Bob? Floyd Mahon, Jr., 68, of 268 Stone Lake Drive, died Friday, March 10, 2006 at Greenville Memorial Medical University Hospital. Born in Greenville, he was the son of the late Robert Floyd and Eunice Ballenger Mahon. Mr. Mahon attended Clemson University, where he earned a degree in mechanical engineering. He retired from Shipper?s Supply and formerly co-owned Spatula and Spoon Kitchen Store. He was a member of Taylors First Baptist Church and was a member of the Co-Ed 25 Sunday School Class. He enjoyed gardening, model trains and collecting coins. Surviving is his wife of 32 years, Joyce Chappell Mahon; a daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Shane Wade, of Charleston, SC; a son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Sherri Foster, of Fort Wayne, IN; a sister, Betty M. Epps, of Baltimore, MD; and five grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Taylors First Baptist Church, 200 W. Main Street, Taylors, SC 29687; or North Greenville University, P.O. Box 1892, Tigerville, SC 29688. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown, Monday, March 13, 2006 at 1:30 p.m., with a visitation prior to the service from 12 noon until 1:15 p.m. Burial will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park. The family is at the residence.
