Robert James Murphy

Robert James Murphy, 81, of 201 Ranch Circle, died on Thursday, February 2, 2006. Born in Pickens County, he was a son of the late Fitzhugh Lee Murphy and Beryl Frances Couch Murphy and husband of the late Jessie Osborne Murphy. Mr. Murphy served in the U.S. Army and retired as a self-employed brick mason. He was a member of Tanglewood Baptist Church. Surviving are four daughters, Dianne M. Medlin of Easley, Patricia M. Crocker and husband Roger of Pelzer, Julia A. Murphy and Deborah B. Murphy both of the home; a brother, Kenneth Murphy, of West Columbia; three grandchildren, Angela Rivera, Robert Medlin, and Matthew Crocker; and four great grandchildren, Jaymon and Austin Rivera, Freedom Medlin, and Kayleigh Crocker. He is predeceased by a sister, Margaret Riddle; and a brother, Fitzhugh Lee Murphy, Jr. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 3:30 ? 5:00 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. Services will be held on Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Greenville Memorial Gardens. The family is at the residence.
