Robert Lee Samples

Robert L. Samples, 75, of 107 Tolar Road, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Thursday, February 07, 2008. Born in Forsyth County, GA, he was a son of the late John D. Samples and Azzie Marie Owens Samples and husband of the late Ella Lee Leonard Samples. Mr. Samples retired from Palmetto Welding Supply and was a member of Hillside Baptist Church in Fountain Inn.
Surviving are two daughters, Vickie Metcalf and husband Randy of Travelers Rest, and Penny Morgan of Pickens; a son, Mike Samples and wife Diane of Blue Ridge; a sister, Grace Norris, of Greenville; a brother, John Samples, Jr., of Travelers Rest; eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two children, Bobby Samples and Kathy Samples. Visitation will be held Saturday, February 9, 2008 from 6:00 – 7:30 pm at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. The funeral service will be held Sunday, February 10, 2008 at 2:00 pm at Renfrew Baptist Church. Burial will be at Grand View Memorial Gardens. The family is at the residence.
