Robert Lewis ?Sam? Wheaton, Sr., 63, of 402 W. Main Street, died Friday, February 23, 2007 at his residence. Born in Toccoa, GA, he was a son of Edna Bell Minish of Greenville. Mr. Wheaton served in the U.S. Army and retired from Wheaton Body Shop. He was of the Baptist faith. Surviving in addition to his mother are a son, Robbie Wheaton, of Easley; three sisters, Juyne Keller of Travelers Rest, Marsha Dunn of Greenville, and Hilda Ward of Lake Murray; a brother, Dan Stewart, of Simpsonville; and four grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Chad Wheaton. Visitation will be held Sunday from 3:00 ? 4:30 pm at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. Graveside services will be held Monday at 3:00 pm at Coleman Memorial Cemetery. The family is at the home of the son, Robbie Wheaton, 205 Hunters Hill Road, Easley, SC.
