Robert Long

Robert ?Bob? Clinton Long, 69, of 103 Satterfield Road, died on Sunday, December 25, 2005. Born in Greenville, he was a son of the late Robert Andrew Long and Nola Messer Smith. Mr. Long served in the U.S. Army and retired from Precision Technology. He was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church in Easley. Surviving are his wife of fifty years, Lena Maxine Wells Long, of the home; two daughters, Elaine and Denise Long, both of Easley; a son, Scott Long, of Greenville; a sister, Vickie Greene, of Easley; two brothers, Andrew Long of Greenville and Tommy Long of Fayetteville, NC; an adopted brother, Dwight Smith, of Simpsonville; two grandchildren, Chelsea and Austin Long; and lots of loving nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by a sister, Clyns Duncan; a brother, Richard Long; and a stepmother, Clara Long. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 7:00 ? 8:30 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. Services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at Rock Springs Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Rock Springs Baptist Church Building Fund, 201 Rock Springs Road, Easley, SC 29642.
