Robert Neil McWhite, 60, devoted husband of Sally Few McWhite, suddenly passed away on Wednesday, May 1, 2024.
Born in Greenville, SC, he was a son of Martha Ashley McWhite and the late John Lewis McWhite.
Neil dedicated his career as a Financial Advisor, recently receiving his CFP, sharing his knowledge and expertise to help others secure their futures. He was a valued member of the Edward Jones family, where he made a lasting impact and built relationships that extended beyond the professional realm. His commitment to his career was paralleled only by his love for his family.
Neil and Sally met as classmates in middle and high school. It wasn’t until after Neil graduated from Clemson University that their friendship grew into a strong and loving marriage that they treasured for over 33 years. Together they often enjoyed time spent at Lake Keowee and Edisto Beach, traveling abroad, attending Clemson athletic activities, and spending time with their families.
His honesty and dedication shone through in all his endeavors, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and compassion, touching the lives of many with his kind and caring nature. Neil was a dedicated member of Aldersgate United Methodist, where he attended The Good News Sunday School Class. He was a man of deep faith and integrity, who cherished his family above all else.
His legacy will continue on in the hearts of his mother, Martha; his loving wife, Sally; two precious sons, Keith Daniel McWhite and wife, Molly of Trussville, AL, and Collin Lewis McWhite and fiancé, Veronica Odette of Ashville, NC; two adoring grandchildren, Ellie Gray and Robert Hayes McWhite; sister, Nancy Concannon and husband, Doug; brother, John Lewis McWhite and wife, Angela; step-siblings, John Evans McWhite and wife, Daphne, Mary Carter, Nancy Tackett and husband, Tim, and many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by stepfather, Benson C. McWhite and stepbrothers, Tom McWhite and Bill McWhite.
A visitation will be held Monday, May 6, 2024, from 12:30 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. at Aldersgate United Methodist Church followed by the Funeral Service at 2:00 p.m. officiated by the Reverend Michael Bingham. Burial will be in Graceland East Memorial Park.
