Robert Thomas Chambers, 53, died Thursday, January 24, 2008 following an extended illness at St. Francis, Downtown. Born in Asheville, N.C., he was the son of Robert Samuel Chambers of Travelers Rest and Marilyn Hunt Chambers of Greenville. Mr. Chambers was a graduate of Greenville High School and the University of South Carolina. Surviving, in addition to his parents, are a brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Cassandra Chambers of Greenville; and a sister, Lisa Chambers of Jacksonville, FL. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 16A Brozzini Court, Greenville, SC 29615. Visitation will be held Sunday, January 27, 2008 from 12:00 p.m. until 1:15 p.m. with a memorial service to follow at 1:30 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown.
