Roberta “Bobbi” Randall Diussa, 84, wife of Allan Edward Diussa, passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2023.
Born in Middletown, CT, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Marian C. Randall.
Bobbi graduated from Bates College in Lewiston, and she and Allan were married on April 21, 1962. During her teaching career, she taught both French and Spanish in Connecticut as well as New Jersey.
Bobbi served as the International President for Goodwill Industries Volunteer Services and invested a part of her time to various charities and organizations within her church and her community. She was an active member with the United Methodist Women, serving as president of the organization twice. Bobbi was a Denman Evangelism Award recipient in the Northern New Jersey Annual Conference. During her time in the church, Bobbi was an active member of the choir, prayer chains, as well as Stephen Ministries where she served as a Stephen Minister. She loved working with youth by teaching Sunday School, leading youth groups, and her favorite time was spent working on Salkehatchie work camps with them. Bobbi was a Worship and Evangelism team leader at various Methodist churches. She is currently a member of Advent UMC in Simpsonville, SC.
In addition to her husband of 62 years, she is survived by her daughter, Dianne Diussa Gordon of Greenville, SC; her son, Scott Diussa and his wife, Michelle Blair Diussa of Greer, SC; one granddaughter, Alyssa Norris and her husband, Bruce Norris Jr.; and one great grandson, Bruce “Tripp” Norris III of Greer, SC. Bobbi is also survived by her sister, Beverly Randall Weber of Pheonix, AZ, along with many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 23, 2023 at Rolling Green Village, 1 Hoke Smith Blvd, Greenville, SC 29615.
