Roberta Steele Henry, 53, of 114 Ebaugh Avenue, wife of "Bill" William Walden Henry, died Tuesday, July 29, 2008 at Greenville Memorial Medical Center. Born in Atlanta, GA, she was the daughter of Virginia McLaurin Steele of Griffin, GA and the late Woodrow Pearson Steele, Sr. Mrs. Henry was a Landscape Architect and member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are two daughters, Mary Virginia Steele of Greenville, Julia Cea Kate Thurston Henry of Greenville; a son, William W. Henry, II of Baltimore, MD; a sister, Katheryn Elizabeth Steele of Griffin, GA; and five brothers, Woodrow Pearson, Steele, Jr. of Charleston, Thomas William Steele of Griffin, GA, Charles Phillip Steele of Smyrna, GA, Christopher Laurin Steele of Syracuse, NY, and John Finley Steele of Griffin, GA. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a brother, Sam James Steele. Memorials may be made to the University of Georgia School of Environmental Design, 609 Caldwell Hall, Athens, GA 30602-1845 or the charity of one's choice. The funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, July 31, 2008 at 12 p.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Greenville, SC. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park, Greenville, SC. The family will be at the residence.
