Ronald Grady Riggs

Ronald Grady Riggs, 63, husband of Gloria B. Lawson Riggs, died Tuesday, January 9, 2007 at Greenville Memorial Medical Center. Born in Atlanta Georgia, he was the son of Marie Gordon Smallwood and the late Grady Covington Riggs. Mr. Riggs was employed with Bausch and Lomb and was a United States Navy Veteran. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are his step father, Roger Smallwood of McDonald, GA.; a step daughter, Renee Batson of Greenville; a sister, Jo Wilson of McDonald, GA.; grandchildren, Lauren and Allie Batson of Greenville, Brook Taylor, Chandler, and Alyssa Davis of Easley; and a number of extended family members. Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 10, 2007 from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, January 11, 2007 at Noon in the downtown chapel. Entombment will follow in Grand View Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family will be at the home of Scott and Renee Batson, 4 Foxglove Court, Greenville.
