Ronald Joseph Beineke, 81, loving husband of Amy Emlich Beineke, passed away Saturday, April 20, 2024.
Born in Indianapolis, IN, he was the son of the late William Beineke and Margaret Hauersperger Beineke.
Ron was active In Parents Without Partners in the 1980’s in Fort Wayne playing volleyball, bowling, and going camping and to dances. It was there that he met his wife, Amy. An avid bowler, Ron scored four ’11 in a row’ awards, two perfect games, and an 800 series. He also loved to play cards – especially bridge, pinochle, and canasta. His latest pleasure was playing mahjong. Ron treasured the time with his son, Joe, going to Wofford college basketball games, and enjoyed watching college basketball and major league baseball. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with family. Ron was intensely proud of his children and grandchildren, his granddaughter-in-law from China, and his new great-granddaughter.
Ron worked for Hollenbeck Printing in Indianapolis as a Bookbinder for many years and finished his working career at Doty Lythograph, Lincoln Life and Swiss Re North America in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
In addition to his loving wife of 33 years, he is survived by his son, Joe Beineke (Vickie); daughters, Starletta Johnson (Jeff) and Sheila Rose (Steven); step-son, Jeff Ford; grandsons, Eric Johnson (Lauren), David Johnson, Joe Beineke (Wu Hao “Cami”), Chris Beineke, Stephen Rose, and Bobby Rose; granddaughter, Shelby Rose; great granddaughters, Angela Beineke and Emma Deisler; and sisters, Eileen Edge, Carolyn Staley, Vera Gorman, and Kathy Farris.
