Ronald Leon Davis

Leon Davis, 77, of 127 Augusta Court, husband of Darlene Allen Davis, died Wednesday, September 13, 2006 at St. Francis Hospital, Downtown. Born in Alcoa, TN., he was a son of the late William B. and Margaret Ann Hudgens Davis. Mr. Davis was retired from Judson Mill- Milliken after 42 years of service and was of the Baptist faith. He served in the U.S. Army during the occupation of Japan immediately following WWII. He was a qualified Parachutist. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are three daughters and a son-in-law, Sharon and Steven Hunt of Irmo, SC., Jenny Lynn Hern of Greenville, Patricia Cooke of Greenville; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Ronnie and Pam Davis of Maryville, TN., Brad Davis of Greenville; a brother and sister-in-law, Bobby Lyn and Rita Davis of Smyrna, GA.; eight grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 2 sisters and 5 brothers. Visitation will be held Friday, September 15, 2006 from 6:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, September 16, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. in the downtown chapel. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery, West. The family will be at the residence.
