Ronell Ethel Hibbert

Ronell Ethel Hibbert, 85, of 210 North Antigo Court, Greer, died Saturday, July 8, 2006 peacefully at her home with her husband, Francis Julian Hibbert, and son, Geoffrey Matthew Hibbert, at her side. Born in Chicago, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Adelaide Hooper, Sr. She grew up in Chicago, Illinois and worked for Charles Swift in the International Dept., Mutual Securities as an insurance executive, Jewel Companies as an assistant office manager, and Montgomery Ward as a Senior Collector. She received recognition for being the Top Collector in the nation. Beloved wife and mother, Ronell, married Francis on August 10, 1946 at the Gustavus Adolphus Lutheran Church, Chicago, Illinois and they would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary this year. Ronell was dedicated to her family and enjoyed rose gardening, camping, fishing, volunteering at church, and caring for her pets Freckles and Mandy. Surviving in addition to her husband are four children, who are all college graduates; two sons, Gary Francis Hibbert and wife Pam of Clifton, Illinois and Geoffrey Matthew Hibbert and wife Ama of Greer; two daughters, Gail Ann Zander and husband Greg and Gloria Lynn Holden, both of Greer; and six grandchildren, Ellaine Fay Hibbert, Michelle Lynn Nelson, Geoffrey Brian?t Zander, Brittany Ann Zander, Stacey Lynn Holden, and Aaron Bryce Holden. Visitation for family and friends will be held Friday from 7:00 ? 9:00 pm at the home of Greg and Gail Zander, 105 Plum Mill Court, Greer, 29650. A private family memorial will be held on Saturday. – Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown.
