Ronnie Dean Hammond

Ronnie Dean Hammond, 50, of 2017 Anderson Road, passed away Saturday, September 13, 2008. Born in Williamston, SC, he was the husband and best friend of Beverly Wilson Hammond and was the son of Mary Edna Hammond and the late Raymond Hammond. Mr. Hammond was the owner of Hammond Lawn Services and was employed by Wal-mart Store #640, where they became his close friends and extended family. He enjoyed spending time with family in the upstate as well as those in the Columbia area. He loved NASCAR and football as well. The highlight of his life was any time spent with his grandson. Surviving in addition to his wife and mother, are two children, Brandie Hammond and R. J. Hammond, both of Greenville; a grandson, Brennan Minter, of Greenville; brother, Tommy Hammond Cindy of Easley; sister, Ann Rector Jerry, of Greenville; step-father, Robert Simpson and sister-in-law, Ruth Ledford and family. He was predeceased by two brothers, Randy and Billy Hammond. Funeral service will be at 1:30 pm, Wednesday, September 17, 2008 at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest Chapel, with burial in Greenville Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 7-8:30 pm, Tuesday at the funeral home. The family will be at the residence or anyone is welcome to stop by Ms. Edna's.
