Rosemary Perkins

Rosemary Hayes Perkins, 82, of 200 Old Grove Road and formerly of Greenwood, wife of Gene Perkins, died Monday, August 11, 2008. Born on October 16, 1926, she was the oldest daughter of the late M.M. Hayes and Thelma Leary Hayes Reese. She was a former bookkeeper for Satterfield Construction and Greenwood Supply and was of the Baptist faith. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are two sons and daughters-in-law, Keith and Vickie Skidmore, Gary and Patricia Skidmore all of Greenwood; three stepsons and daughters-in-law, Paul and Charlene Perkins, Jimmy Perkins and Tommy and Carolyn Perkins; 15 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, James J. and Marjorie Hayes of Shelby, NC; a sister and brother-in-law, Marlin Hayes and Jimmie Ensley of Concord, NC; and beloved pet, Mitzy. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Rudy and Neil Skidmore and a brother, Bobby M. Hayes. Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 13, 2008 from 4:00 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. A graveside service will be held Thursday, August 14, 2008 at 12:00 p.m. in Graceland East Memorial Park.
