Roy David Emory, 76, of Travelers Rest, died Thursday, August 16, 2018.

   Born in Greenville, he was a son of the late William and Berdale Emory.

   Roy enjoyed traveling, antique shopping and cooking.

   He is survived by a son, William Neal Emory (Cathy); grandchildren, Christopher and Timothy Emory; sisters, Jessie Horton, Hazel Alford, Joyce Farthing, and Carole Boozer; ex-wife and very special friend, Mimi.

   In addition to his parents, Mr. Emory was preceded in death by seven siblings, Grace, Grady, Viola, Pauline, Lela, J.R. and Juanita.

   The visitation will be held Monday, August 20, 2018 from 12:30 p.m. until 1:15 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest with the funeral service following at 1:30 p.m. in the Northwest Chapel.

   Burial will be held in Barton Memorial Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery.

   The family will be at the home of Joyce Farthing.
