Ruby Gaynelle Campbell Whitworth

Ruby Gaynell Campbell Whitworth, 80, formerly of 305 Orders Street, died Monday, February 20, 2006 at Blue Ridge Living Center. Born in Pickens County, she was the daughter of the late William Columbus and Nannie Jones Campbell. Ms. Whitworth was retired from Dan River Company. She was a member of Park Place Church of God where she was involved in the Ladies Prayer Ministry and the Senior Citizens group. Surviving are four daughters and sons-in-law, Constance W. Cole of Richlands, VA., Carol W. and Ted Skoby of Gainesville, FL., Jeanie W. and Jerry Stone of Orlando, FL., Linda W. Phillips of Liberty; two sons and daughter-in-law, Larry and Karen Whitworth of Simpsonville, Ronnie Campbell of Greenville; sixteen grandchildren and twenty two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Edward and Ezell Campbell, a sister, Vera Bowling, and a son-in-law, Clay Shaw Cole. She was the last surviving member of her birth family. Flowers will be accepted, however, memorials may be made to Park Place Church of God, 216 Orders Street, Greenville, SC 29609. Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 22, 2006 from 7:00 until 8:30 PM at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, February 23, 2006 at 1:30 PM in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery, West. The family will be at the residence.
