Ruby Mae Henson

June 7, 1928 - February 6, 2007
Ruby Mae Pittman Henson, 78, of 8 Delbrook Drive, widow of James Woodrow Henson, died Tuesday, February 6, 2007 at St. Francis Hospital, Downtown. Born in Greenville, she was a daughter of the late Alexander Preston and Lillie Mae Carlton Pittman. Mrs. Henson was a homemaker and was a member of Piedmont Park Baptist Church and the Faithful Followers Sunday School class. Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Ken and Dianne Henson of Easley and Ron and Mary Jane Henson of Greenville; four grandchildren and their spouses, Christopher and Irene Henson, Valerie and Mark Kannarney, Laura and Bill Moore, and Emily Henson; six great grandchildren, Valerie and Katrina Rodriquez, Danielle Henson, Molly Reagan Moore, Matthew and Michael Kannarney; two sisters, Nora Vinson and Dora Ellenburg; and two brothers, Wofford and Ralph Pittman. She was preceded in death by a son, Donald Terry Henson; two sisters, Bertie Sue Jennings and Rosie Lee Gosnell; and three brothers, David, Heyward and Preston Pittman. Memorials may be made to Open Arms Hospice, 414-A Pettigru Street, Greenville, SC 29601 or Piedmont Park Baptist Church, 801 Piedmont Park Road, Greenville, SC 29609. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, February 10, 2007 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown with visitation prior from 1:30 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park. The family will be at the residence.
