With heavy hearts and cherished memories, we bid farewell to Ryan Michael Clairmont, who departed this world on April 13, 2024, at the tender age of 35. Ryan was not just a man; he was a symphony of calmness, intellect, and unwavering love. His departure leaves a void that cannot be filled, but his spirit will forever dance in the melody of our lives.
Ryan was a man who lived on his own terms, embracing each day as an opportunity for adventure and growth. His unwavering spirit of exploration led him and his beloved husband, Anthony Thompson, on countless journeys across the globe. From the bustling streets of Bangkok to the serene beaches of Maui, they navigated the world hand in hand, painting their memories with the vibrant hues of their shared love.
Ryan’s zest for life extended beyond travel; it manifested in his passion for culinary exploration. A maestro in the kitchen, he transformed simple ingredients into culinary symphonies that danced on the taste buds. To Ryan, the table was not just a place to dine; it was a stage where stories were shared and memories were created.
Music was the rhythm that echoed in Ryan’s soul, and The Beatles were his eternal muse. Their timeless melodies provided the soundtrack to his life, serenading him through moments of joy, sorrow, and everything in between. With each note, he found solace, inspiration, and a connection to something greater than himself.
Though Ryan’s physical presence may be absent, his essence lingers in the laughter of his daughter, Wagner, and in the loving embrace of Anthony. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and boundless curiosity-a legacy that will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know him.
In addition to Anthony and Wagner, Ryan is survived by his devoted mother, Lori Clairmont, his dear brother, Dylan Clairmont, and his maternal grandparents, George and Laura Hrutkay. Ryan’s father, Mike Clairmont, and his paternal grandparents predeceased him. Additionally, he leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws, and a host of friends whose lives were touched by his warmth and kindness.
In the tapestry of life, Ryan’s thread may have been cut short, but its vibrant colors will forever remain woven into the fabric of our hearts. As we mourn his passing, let us also celebrate the beautiful tapestry of memories he gifted us and find solace in knowing that his spirit will continue to guide us through the journey of life.
Rest easy, dear Ryan, and may your soul find eternal peace in the symphony of the cosmos. You will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
We extend our deepest gratitude to the wonderful people who cared for Ryan in his final months, including the hospice team at Amedisys – Shannon, Cody, Q, Audrey, and Michael – and his aides and friends Linette and Donna.
A celebration of Ryan’s life will be held on Saturday, April 27th at 3:00 p.m. in the Carpenter Chapel at First Baptist Greenville. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Ryan’s memory to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105 https://www.stjude.org/give.html.
