Ryan Olsen Clark, 29, died Wednesday, November 23, 2022.

Born in Greenville, SC, he was the son of Pam Gainey Clark and the late James Timothy Clark.

Ryan graduated from The Citadel in 2015 and was a proud cadet of the Romeo Company. He played baseball for Hillcrest High School and attended Brookwood Church. He loved Clemson football, playing guitar, gaming, listening to music, woodworking, and his dog, Tucker.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his sister, Mica Clark; uncles, David Gainey, Steve Gainey, and Shane Gainey; aunt, Karen Clark, and Cindy Gainey; nephew, Bentley McLean; and cousins, Kim Clark, Jason Clark, Brodie Clark, Jessi Clark, Max Clark, Dominic Clark, Lindsay Gainey, and Steven Gainey.

The family will be receiving friends on Saturday, December 03, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes, Southeast

Im Justins aunt and i just wanted to say that i am so sorry that all of this happened to your sweet son.I only met him at the wedding but he was such a super nice young man.My family will continue to pray for you guys as well as Ryan!hugs!!

Deepest condolences to “Clark’s” family. Prayers are being said that Clark’s brothers from the Citadel will honor his life and their love for him by their future actions, remembering their reliance on each other is a continuing lifelong commitment .Clark is at rest, will be sorely missed, until we meet this dear young man again.

I only had the pleasure of Ryan’s company a handful of times. But what a kind man. As a close friend to both Justin and Chelsea Webb, I will honor his memory by remembering him with them often. My deepest sympathies.
