Samuel Ralph Parnell

February 4, 1952 - February 6, 2008
Samuel "Sammy" Ralph Parnell, 56, of 2507 Home Place Trail, Asheboro, N.C., died Wednesday, February 6, 2008.
Born in Greenville, SC, he was a son of Bonnie Garren Parnell, of Marietta, and the late James Ralph Parnell.
Mr. Parnell was a retired employee of BellSouth, member Truth Missionary Baptist Church, and US Army veteran.
Surviving in addition to his mother is his wife, Ellen Bowles Parnell of the home; daughters, Jessica LeRoy and her husband, Kris, of Asheboro, NC and Amber Martin and her husband, Philip, of Salisbury, NC; two brothers, Chris Parnell of Greenville, SC and Tony Parnell of Travelers Rest, SC; four grandchildren; Peyton and Raegan LeRoy and Avery and Jaxson Martin.
Visitation will be Saturday, February 9, 2008 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest.
The funeral service will be held at Truth Missionary Baptist Church, Sunday, February 10, 2008 at 2:00 pm.
The family request that flowers be omitted and memorials made to Hospice of Randolph County, P.O. Box 9, 416 Vision Drive, Asheboro, NC 27204.
The family will be at the home of the mother, 201 Parnell Bridge Road, Marietta, SC.
