Mr. Samuel Thompson ?Tuck? Tucker, Sr., 83, of 1812 Elrod Rd., Piedmont died May 27, 2006 at St. Francis Hospital, Downtown. Born in Anderson County, he was the son of the late William Ruben and Alma Ussery Tucker. He served his country in the US Army during WWII. Mr. Tucker was in textile work for 26 years with Dunean Mill and retired owner and operator of Tucker?s Lawn Mower Repair. He was also a member of Bethesda United Methodist Church Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Doris Elrod Tucker; daughter, Dot Hunt and husband Luther of Powdersville; son, Sammy Tucker and wife Charlotte of Powdersville; four grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Monday at Bethesda United Methodist Church. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 2:00 until 3:00 pm at the church. Interment to follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Building Fund of Bethesda United Methodist Church, 516 Piedmont Rd., Easley, SC 29642.
