Sara Clyde Jenkins Riddle, 87, of Oakmont West, Greenville, died Friday, May 23, 2008 at St. Francis Hospital, Downtown. Born in Hartwell, GA, she was a daughter of the late Thomas C. and Clara Royster Jenkins and widow of William R. Riddle. Mrs. Riddle was a graduate of Paris High School and worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant and Dental Assistant for a number of years. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a clerk with Overbrook Cleaners. She was a member of White Oak Baptist Church. Mrs. Riddle enjoyed sewing and gardening; however, her children provided her the most enjoyment in life. Surviving are five daughters, Bobbie Corn of Greenville, Betty Hill Jimmy of Fountain Inn, Peggy Burris Roger of Charleston, Dale Pierce Dean of Conyers, GA, and Jerry Wade Browning of Travelers Rest; one son, Pat Riddle Becky of Greenville; three sisters, Becky Wiggs of Plant City, Fla., Tommie Davidson of Lyman, and Martha Hughes of Fountain Inn; two brothers, Pat Jenkins of Greenville and Ray Jenkins of Mauldin; 16 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at White Oak Baptist Church Monday at 12 Noon, with visitation from 11:00 am until noon at the church. Interment to follow in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to White Oak Baptist Church, 1805 Wade Hampton Blvd., Greenville, SC 29609. The family would like to extend their appreciation to the staff of Oakmont West Nursing Center and St. Francis Hospital, Downtown for the care they provided Mrs. Riddle. – Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown
