Sara Elizabeth Alexander Raiden

Sara Elizabeth Alexander Raiden, 87, of Greenville, widow of Wylie Rufus Raiden, died Monday, May 6, 2013. Born in Greenville County, she was the daughter of the late David Mack and May Alexander. Mrs. Raiden retired from Stone Manufacturing after 30 years of service. She attended services at the Salvation Army and Judson Baptist. Elizabeth was a member of the Lady's Home League, volunteered at the Salvation Army and at local missions. She is survived by children, Bobbie Sammons Louie of Greenville, Samuel Raiden of Greenville, Patricia Weathers Earl of Greenville, Carolyn Perkins of Williamston, and Randy Raiden Joyce of Easley; 22 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren and daughters-in-law, Bernice Raiden and Cheryl Raiden. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by sons, Rufus and David Raiden. Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 8, 2013 from 1:30 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest with the funeral service following at 3:00 p.m. in the Northwest Chapel. Burial will follow in Graceland West Cemetery. The family will be at their respective homes.
