Sara Katherine Talley

Sara Katherine Beam Talley, 89, formerly of 15 Rangeview Circle, died Friday, June 13, 2008 at Laurel Hill Living Center in Pickens. Born in Greenville, she was a daughter of the late Samuel Milton Beam and Jessie Belle Smith Beam and wife of the late Paul Eugene Talley. She was lovingly raised by an aunt and uncle, Lennie and Jess Smith. Mrs. Talley was a member of Pendleton Street Baptist Church. Surviving are three sons, David Eugene Talley and wife Debbie of Santee, Paul Milton Talley and wife Mary of Easley, and William Bruce Talley of Central; four grandchildren, Perry Talley and wife Teresa of Dacusville, Pam McLemore and husband Jeff of Ft. Pierce, FL, Susan Guynn and husband David of Seneca, and Kirbi Bliss and husband Donovan of Greenville; two great grandchildren, Megan McLemore and Cheyanne Bliss; a sister, Nell Rochester, of Travelers Rest; and special nieces, Jackie and Dianne Smith and Susan Buckley. Mrs. Talley was preceded in death by two sisters, Elizabeth Brown and Mary Bentley; and two brothers, Samuel and John Beam. Visitation will be Sunday, June 15, 2008 from 4:00 – 5:30 pm at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. The funeral service will be Monday, June 16, 2008 at 10:30 am at the funeral home. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery, West. Please omit flowers and make memorials to Hallmark Hospice Program of Anderson, 117 Broadbent Way, Anderson, SC 29626. The family is at the home of son Paul Talley, 120 Pisgah Road, Easley.
