Sara Washington Gregory, 79, of Piedmont, died Friday, March 2, 2007 at Westside Living Center. Born in Piedmont, she was a daughter of the late Andrew Butler and Inez Washington. Mrs. Gregory retired from Pepsi Cola Bottling Company and was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church of Piedmont and Order of the Eastern Star. Surviving are her husband of sixty years, John Harold Gregory, Sr.; a son, John H. Gregory, Jr. and wife Brenda, of Piedmont; two grandchildren, Beth A. Gregory and Johnny S. Gregory, both of Piedmont; and a great grandson, Noah Gregory, of Piedmont. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Lestia Davenport. Graveside services will be Sunday at 4:00 pm at Woodlawn Memorial Park with the Rev. Dr. Stephen Z. Hearne officiating. Much love and thanks go out to the staff and employees of Vista Care and longtime caregivers Mrs. Edith Brown and Ms. Judy Shirley. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Vista Care, 15 Brendan Way, Suite 100, Greenville, SC 29615. The family is at their respective homes.
