Sarah Flinkingshelt Humphreys

Sarah Flingkingshelt Humphreys, 87, formerly of Parkins Mill Rd., died Thursday, December 6, 2007. Born in Greenville, she was the daughter of the late Asa and Elizabeth Hammond Flinkingshelt and widow of James Harold Humphreys. Mrs. Humphreys was a homemaker and a member of First Presbyterian Church. She taught Sunday School and was a member of the Good Neighbor Sunday School class. Surviving are two sons, James Harold Humphreys, Jr. and wife Pat of Mauldin and Robert W. Humphreys and wife Susan of Greenville; four grandchildren, Dawn, Erick, Tyler and Charlie Humphreys; and four great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church, 200 W. Washington St., Greenville, SC 29601 or Alzheimer?s Association, Upstate SC Chapter, 301 University Ridge, Ste. 5000, Greenville, SC 29601. Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2007 from 2 to 3 p.m. in the parlor at First Presbyterian Church. The funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. in the Harper Chapel. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park. The family will be at the home of Robert Humphreys, 203 Rockingham Rd., Greenville, SC.
