I went to high school with Shain and got reacquainted with him these last through years. I adored him and his positive spirit. He was always happy and kind. My heart is broken over his passing. I take great comfort, though, knowing how much joy and love he gave to others while he was here. Surrounding his loved ones with prayers and sympathies. I was so blessed to have known him.

I haven't talked to Shain in over 30 years, but back in October I  found him on FB. My memory of Shain is when I had chicken  pox our junior year at Andress and he would come to my window everyday to check on me. Everything I  am hearing about Shain, his kindness, the love he had for family and friends and all around great man tells me he was full of compassion, even at 16. RIP in peace Shain Stewart. My sincere condolences to Shain's family and friends.

Oh my goodness how sad and utterly shocked I was to hear that you had left us. We met on FB and became good friends as we discussed the challenges of our times and politics. And we shared a love for music too. Shain, I went to look for you because I deleted my FB page and started a new one. When you had not accepted my friend request onto my new page I knew something was not right. I am heartbroken for all who knew you and loved you.

You are not a soul or spirit that will leave our hearts anytime soon. At least not mine.

RIP dear, sweet man. I will miss your musical serenades.
My deepest condolences to your wife, children, friends and family.

Hail the Traveler.. for all we went through, good and bad, I wouldn't have missed it. You gave the world a gift that still is echoing through the community. Blessed Be.

My dear sweet friend, you were a light to so many. Your music, your spirit, brought smiles everywhere you went. I am so thankful for the day that I walked into Starving Artist Cafe and saw you sitting on a stool doing what you loved. Thank you for always playing and sharing your gift with us. You will never be forgotten. Heaven is a much brighter place now that you are there.

Shain was like a brother; just today I went to text him about something, only to remember that the text would go unanswered.  I'll miss his kind words, infectious smile and of course his gift of music. The thing I will remember most is our non-verbal communication. It started out of necessity on stage when the volume was too loud to communicate, but over time it extended beyond that.  A nod, a smile, an eye roll, a look in one direction or the other, and we could share a joke from across the room. Admittedly we were usually up to no good.  I'm sure I'm not the only one who had that connection.  Although I can't see him across the room anymore, I will continue to have non-verbal communication with my dear friend Shain Stewart.  I sure miss you buddy.  My sincerest condolences to Dawn, Wendy, T, and the rest of the family.

Shain was sure a kind, caring person and will be so very much missed at our church
He sang to us all on our birthdays and sang at many of our gatherings at church, he was so blessed with a beautiful voice and played the guitar so beautifully. Sending our love to you all!
