Shirley Ann Gaillard Farrow, 88, beloved wife of the late Joe Edward Farrow, was embraced by her Lord Jesus on March 14, 2024.
Shirley was born in Greenville, SC to the late Roy Lee and Mary Louise Roach Gaillard.
Before her decline in health, Shirley was an active and devoted member of Monaghan United Methodist Church for over 40 years. She served in various committees in the church. She especially loved the music and singing in the choir.
If you knew Shirley, you knew how much she loved “shopping.” She loved all types of music, reading, and studying her Bible. Shirley loved her chocolate in any form. However, she deeply loved her family and friends the most.
She is survived by her beloved children, Deborah F. Howard (Eddie) and Kelly F. Wrenn (Kenneth); her grandchildren, Edward Scott Howard and Kristin Howard Ellis (Daniel); great grandchildren, Adeline and Ezra Ellis; as well as many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her beloved sister, Sandra Gaillard Curry.
In addition to her parents and devoted husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Lee (Bob) Gaillard.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 21, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. at Monaghan United Methodist Church. A funeral service to celebrate Shirley’s life will immediately follow at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be held in Graceland Cemetery West.
The family would like to give a special THANK YOU to the caregivers at Quillen Manor for loving our Mother and taking such special care of her in these last few years.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Monaghan United Methodist Church, 1 McBeth St. Greenville SC 29611 or to the South Carolina Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org/sc.
