Shirley Ann Anders Spencer, 78, of Greenville, wife of the late Ronnie Joe Spencer, died Wednesday, August 26, 2020, at St. Francis, Downtown.

Born in Greenville, she was a daughter of the late Grover and Grace Taylor Anders.

Shirley retired from the Greenville County Register of Deeds and was of the Baptist faith. She was a loving mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her son, Walter Anders and his wife, June; seven grandchildren, Alicia Willard, Patrick Locke (Kim), Joe Anders, Walter Anders (Cristy), Brittany Clements, Timothy Anders, and Charles Tolley (Scarlett); 14 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Amelia "Medgie" Laughter and Annette Painter; a brother, Jerry Anders; nephew, Tim Anders; and a niece Theresa Bryant.

In addition to her parents and loving husband, she was preceded in death by four sisters; seven brothers; and her life-partner, Bud Young.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, August 31, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. at Graceland Cemetery West.
