Stella Lark Lankford

Stella Lark Lankford, 82, widow of John William Lankford, passed away Tuesday, October 3, 2006 at Greenville Memorial Medical Center. Born in Greenville County on April 13, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Edgar Perry and Rossie Brock Lark. Mrs. Lankford was a retired textile employee. She was a member of John Calvin Presbyterian Church where she was a member of the church choir, a Sunday school teacher, and was active in the women?s work of the church. She will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Jim Cely of Longmont, CO.; two grandchildren, Jeff Cely and his wife Roxane and Jill Cely; and two nieces, Barbara Bishop and Lisa Pender. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 3535 Pelham Road, Suite 101, Greenville, SC 29615. Visitation will be held Sunday, October 8, 2006 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, October 9, 2006 at 3:00 p.m. at John Calvin Presbyterian Church. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery, West. The family will be at their respective homes.
