Stephen Perry Spencer, Sr, 61, of 3050 State Park Road, husband of Kathereen Pauline McCall Spencer, died Wednesday, August 27, 2008 at his residence. Born in Travelers Rest, he was a son of Margaret Rainey Spencer of Taylors and the late Jack "Jake" Perry Spencer. Mr. Spencer was a retired Heating and Air Conditioning Technician and a member of Victory Chapel Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Surviving, in addition to his mother and wife, are a son, Stephen Perry Spencer, Jr., of Easley; a daughter, Lisa Ann Spencer of Clinton; two sisters, Sharon Papini of Easley and Mary Spencer of Taylors; a brother, Mark Spencer of Pineville, KY; and two grandchildren, Cierra and Jordan Spencer. Mr. Spencer was loved by his wife, children and family and will be greatly missed. Visitation will be held Friday, August 29, 2008 from 7:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. The funeral service will be held Saturday, August 30, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at Clearview Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Mt. Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
