Steven Paul Crawford, 38, of Hampton, Virginia beloved and firstborn son of Pastor Bob and Marian Crawford went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ unexpectedly in his sleep on Tuesday, November 4, 2008.
Steve was Senior Project Manager for Technology Solutions, Inc. assigned to Research Projects for the U.S. Navy. He received a B.S. in Math from Drexel University, Philadelphia, PA, a Master of Divinity degree from Bob Jones University and a M.S. in Math from Clemson University. His special gift and love for teaching led him into Christian secondary education as well as the college level professorship at Clemson and Coastal Carolina Universities.
Surviving, in addition to his parents are one brother, Dan of Greenville, twin sisters, Julie Turner and husband Chris of Greenville, Janelle Phillips and husband Tim of Simpsonville, niece, Ainsley Phillips, nephews, Luke Phillips and Jack Turner, maternal grandmother Ruth Ilg, aunt and uncle, Sheryl and Ken Ilg and cousins Rebecca Helriegel and Nathan Ilg. A family gathering will be held Sunday, November 9, 2008 from 2:00 – 3:30 at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home Downtown. Burial to follow in Graceland East Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Winifrede Presbyterian Church, 2919 Fields Creek Road, Winifrede, West Virginia, 25214, pastored by his best friend Dennis Bills.
