There are few people that come to mind when I think of the dreams I have carried these many years that were influenced by their lives. Sue Lynn Stezer and her husband, Rick, were one of those few people. I'm so sorry to hear of your loss Setzer family but trust that Sue Lynn is safe in the presence of our Father, God. Thank you for being the Master Teachers about suceeding in business, life and relationships. I pray your hearts are comforted by knowing that so many lives have been FOREVER changed for the better because you and Sue Lynn dared to teach us to DREAM big. May God bless & comfort you. Sue Lynn was my first Interior Design client (1977) and she was the best client and a truly amazing lady. We worked together on many of her homes; the Spanish House, the Town House, the French House, the Georgian Estate and Diamond Pointe. I have fond memories of her encouraging my talent at such a young age, along with her dress designer Stephen Yearick. (No one wore his gowns better) May she rest in eternal peace. Much love to Rick and the family.

My belated sympathies, to you all. Many of us from school treasure her. She was so kind and so was her family. I just learned and I am so sorry. We became friends at St. Peters Lutheran Church as kindergartners. We always knew she would achieve greatly and be a gift to society. She was a beautiful child of  God. Jettie is with her Lord and now her 'namesake' Jettie Sue Lynn and she can be together as well in Heaven.

Words cannot express the depth of sorrow I felt upon learning of Sue Lynn’s passing. She was the most gracious and elegant woman; a gentle and loving soul. She was a role model to many, including me. Barry always referred to her as “Southern Royalty “.
God has taken away her pain and given her a place among the angels. May God grant you peace in this difficult time.
Much love, Barry & Cathy Durr

I was so saddened to hear of Sue Lynn's passing. I met the Setzer family as a young child while my parents, Bob and Shelly, were in Amway with them. They always treated our family like their family. My parents thought and spoke so very highly of them. I have very fond memories of visiting the Setzer farm with my parents when I was a teenager and I have had many thoughts of them over the years. My earthly heart is truly saddened but I know one day we will all unite again in a much greater place. God bless you all so very much for all you did for my family and the great memories you gave me.

Rick , my thoughts and prayers are with you in the loss of your wife. I lost my wife at about the same age in 2012. It is very hard at the time. Your faith, family and friends will get you through it.
After the period of memorial services end, you will really begin to decide what to do. You will think of her every day and night forever, that’s good.
My advice is get out and keep going, make new friends, join Sr Groups. They are more fun than you think.
If you need a golf group call me or just call me.
I assume you worked for Michelin, if not bless you too, my advice is the same

Dear Setzer family,
We are so saddened by the loss of Sue Lynn.  She has been part of our life , it seems , forever.  As I grew up, Sue Lynn was the Woman that I and many others, strived to become.  She was beautiful, elegant, smart, classy and was truly a Godly Woman.  I always loved to see what she was wearing because she was the MODEL and trend setter on stage AND OFF.  Our family has prayed for Sue Lynn and all of you thru this journey and we love you all so much.  She will truly be missed!!! Praying for all of you thru the next days, weeks, months.  We understand what you are going thru, and we are here if you need us.  We love you all! Especially you Mr. Setzer.

Paul and Trudine Smith left a message on March 31, 2021:
Our hearts grieve with you, Rick, David, Jennifer and family.  When we think of Sue Lynn, I can say that she brought much much joy to Trudine and myself.   We have the fondest memories of years of mentoring received from this amazing family that God brought into our lives in the early 1980's.  Our hearts are heavy but we are also certain of the hope she and each of you have in Christ our Lord.  Romans 5:1-5 NKJV
Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, [2] through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. [3] And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; [4] and perseverance, character; and character, hope. [5] Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

Sue Lynn was a class act!  She always had a beautiful smile and dressed impeccably.  Her grandchildren were a favorite topic.  One of said grandchildren inspired the talk "Fire in the Hole" about passion!  Another great talk was about "Items in the mirror are closer than they appear" about our goals & dreams being more imminent than we might think.  I still chuckle about the story of her having to move one of the boats at the lake despite her fear of doing so!  I will always remember her as a courageous woman who went forward despite obstacles.  Blessings to her family & prayers of Thanksgiving!
