Sunie Hester Turner, 99, widow of William T. Turner, died December 13, 2006 at Greenville Memorial Hospital. She was the last surviving member of her family. Born in Greenville County, she was the daughter of the late Martin Lee and Mary Elizabeth Hester. She retired from Union Bleachery and lived on the village for eighty-one years. She was the oldest member of Parisview Baptist Church and was an active member until the last few years. Surviving are three children, Hazel Reardon of Easley, Jo Schwartz and husband Fred, and Bruce Turner and wife Margaruite, all of Greenville; six grandchildren, Mickey and Allen Turner of Greenville, Patti Bishop, Joyce Moody and Chandra Smith all of Easley, and Sherry Phillips of Allen, Texas; eleven great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren; and loving caregiver, Juanita Davis. She was predeceased by eleven brothers and sisters; a son, Mitchell Turner and wife Eleanor; an infant daughter, Mary Ellen Turner; a grandson, Fredrick M. Schwartz II; and a son-in-law, Jack Reardon. The family will receive friends on Friday, December 15th from 7:00 ? 8:30 pm at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. Services will be on Saturday at 10:00 am at Parisview Baptist Church. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery, West.
