Syble Eleanor Roberts Evins, 66, wife of William "Bill" Evins, MD, died Saturday, June 14, 2008. Born in Pickens County, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Eunice Roberts. Mrs. Evins was a housewife, certified Medical Assistant, ceramic artist and a member of Jackson Grove United Methodist Church. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are two step-daughters, Susan Evins of Concord, NC, and Anne Seymour and her husband Matthew of Greenville. She also leaves two special god-daughters, Amy Howe and Eve Slaughter of Atlanta, GA. Services will be private. Memorials may be sent to the William and Syble Evins Scholarship Fund, Wofford College, 429 North Church Street, Spartanburg, SC 29303 or to the Pulmonary Hypertension Association at 801 Roeder Road, Ste. 400 Silver Spring, MD 20910.
