Thomas Donald Steading

Thomas Donald "Donnie" Steading, 71, of 107 Waddell Road, passed away Wednesday, December 3, 2008. Born in Greenville County, he was the son of the late James D. and Louise Holtzclaw Steading. He was preceded in death by his brother, Bobby Jerome Steading. Donnie served in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged in 1963. He was of the Baptist faith. After more than 35 years of service, he retired from Southeastern Freight Lines. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Dan and Cindy Steading; stepson, Tracy Littleton and his wife, Lynn; granddaughter, Lindsey Steading; and step granddaughters, Blair and Brooks Littleton. Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice. Visitation will be held Saturday, December 6, 2008 from 1:30 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel. Burial will be in Greenville Memorial Gardens. The family will be at the residence.
