My whole life I have been my grandpas "little shadow" as he said. Growing up he never bought us many gifts but he always spent time with his family and showed you he loved you unconditionally! My grandpa and I used to walk around the block at least once a week. He was a very hard working family man. I spent more Saturday nights than I can count at Greenville Pickens speedway with my Grandpa. I remember us just riding up around the mountains and pulling off the side of the road and having a picnic. Every holiday he would have out his camcorder video taping everyone. I really didn't understand it then but now I see why. He loved every minute he got to spend with his family and he wanted to cherish those memories forever! I don't remember how old I was, (I was pretty little) but it had snowed that year. Well I went outside and made me a snowman and I wanted to bring it inside. Well anyone that knows my grandpa knows that he always kept his house 100 degrees. So he kept telling me I couldn't bring it in bc it would melt! I finally talked him into letting me bring it on the porch. Needless to say it still melted lol. When I say I was and always will be a grandpa's girl that is an understatement. I have so many great memories that I will cherish forever with him and my grandma. They even came with me to the mountains on my honeymoon! He was my rock! My grandpa told me almost three years ago when he was in the hospital and he was very sick that he wished I would quit smoking before he died and that I did! I have now been nicotine free for almost 3 years. He loved his grandkids but he really loved his great grandbabies. Once my boys Stephen and Keith started racing nothing made my grandpa smile more than watching them race! He was so proud of them! I could go on and on about different memories with my grandpa from making homemade slides in the snow to going to the beach and the mountains and racing go carts! All of these memories I am going to cherish and hold onto!! I love you so much grandpa and miss you dearly!! Love your Kayla boo
