Thomas Patrick McComish, Jr., 74, of 509 Creighton Drive, widower of Mary Catherine Coyne McComish, died Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at Greenville Memorial Medical Center. Born in The Bronx, NY, he was the son of the late Thomas Patrick McComish, Sr and Katie Woods McComish. Mr. McComish was retired from MetLife and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. He was a loving father and grandpa. Surviving are four daughters, Mary Eutsler Carl, Tara Ridenour Bill, Denise Thompson Joe and Kathleen McComish; 6 grandchildren, Thomas, Matthew, Stacy, Mary, Michael and Sam; great grandson, Noah Thomas Smith; and a sister, Mary Quinn and family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association. Recitation of the Rosary will be held Sunday, August 23, 2009 at 7:00 p.m., at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown, with visitation following. The funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, August 24, 2009 at 12:00 p.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Burial will be at Graceland East Memorial Park. The family will be at 1175 Haywood Road, Apt. 8F, Greenville.
