Tommy Gleen Madden, 71, of 18 Woodridge Dr. died Wednesday, June 23, 2004, at his home. He was the husband of Johnnie Warren Madden and was born in Anderson County a son of the late Albert Gleen and Alma Lee Denny Madden. Mr. Madden was a US Air Force veteran. He was a retired US Postal Service employee, and had served as Past President of the Local 439 of the National Letter Carriers Branch and also past president of the state association. He was a member of Park Place Church of God where he served as Music Minister and Clerk Treasurer. Surviving are daughters, Dorothy M. Wallen, Melody M. Hand, and Harmony F. Madden all of Greenville; sons, Michael S. Madden and John A. Madden both of Greenville; grandchildren
Cathie and Justin Wallen, Misti Madden, Kevin and Tori Hand, Brantley, Blake and Brandon Madden; and one great-grandchild Kaylin Wallen. He was predeceased by a sister and a brother. The family will receive friends Friday from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at Park Place Church of God. Funeral services will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the church. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery, West. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Park Place Church of God, 221 Orders St., Greenville 29609.
