Tony Eugene Callahan, 72, beloved husband of Rita Callahan, passed away on Monday, March 4, 2024.
Born in Greenville, SC, he was the son of the late James and Betty Jo Gaillard Callahan.
Growing up in the Greenville community, Tony was a member of Sans Souci Baptist Church.
From his early years, he exhibited a remarkable knack for versatility and passion for life. Tony’s adventurous spirit found joy in the great outdoors. Whether he was hunting in the woods or casting his line into a lake, he found peace and fulfillment among nature.
His mastery of various skills earned him the reputation of being a “Jack of all trades”; his resourcefulness knew no bounds, and he approached every task with determination and skill.
Above all else, Tony cherished his roles as a husband, father, and grandfather. His devotion to his family knew no bounds, and his love knew no limits. He leaves behind a legacy of warmth, kindness, and unwavering support that will forever be etched in the hearts of those who knew him.
In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by son, Brian Glover and his wife, Amee; and a granddaughter, Jessica Ticko.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved grandparents, Louise and Eugene Gaillard, that had a significant role in helping raise him.
A visitation will be held Thursday, March 07, 2024, from 12:00 p.m. until 1:15 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes, Northwest, with the funeral service to follow at 1:30 p.m. in the Northwest Chapel. Burial will be held in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
