Truman H. Dickson

Truman H. Dickson, 73, of Greenville, died Monday, August 11, 2008. Born in Greenville, he was a son of the late Rev. S.T. Dickson and Ruby Foster Dickson. Mr. Dickson retired from Duke Power after thirty-three years of service. He was a member of Berea Friendship United Methodist Church since 1998 where he was a member of the Huckabee Sunday School Class and Senior Citizens Plus Travel Club. Surviving are his wife of fifty-one years, Shirley C. Dickson; two daughters, Karen Mainous and husband Steve, and Kathy Shead and husband Steve; four grandchildren, Zack Mainous and wife Krystal, Raechel Richardson and husband Justin, Ashley Taylor and husband Brandon, and Layton Mainous; one great grandchild to come, Cooper Taylor; and a brother, Carl Dickson and wife Thelma. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 13, 2008 from 6:30 – 8:00 pm at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. The funeral will be Thursday, August 14, 2008 at 10:30 am at the funeral home. Burial will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Berea Friendship United Methodist Church, 8001 White Horse Road, Greenville, SC 29617. The family is at the residence.
