Tweeter Hembree Hooper, 95, of 113 River Oaks Drive, died Wednesday, January 30, 2008. Born in Oconee County, she was a daughter of the late Anthony Baylus Hembree and Essie Cornelia Hardy Hembree and wife of the late Ben Herman Hooper, Sr. Mrs. Hooper retired from Judson Mill Deering Milliken after forty-eight years of service. She was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church and the Willing Workers #2 Class and Keenagers. Surviving are five daughters, Bobbi Greenwood and husband Ed of Greenville, Sue Dickerson and husband Paul of Piedmont, Janet Wike and husband Don of Easley, Evelyn Radcliffe and husband Roger of Myrtle Beach, Frankie Kelly and husband Charles of Fountain Inn; a son, Ben H. Hooper, Jr. and wife Joy Greenwood Hooper, of Goose Creek; a brother, Ernie Hembree and wife Edna, of Anderson; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; and many loving nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Friday from 7:00 to 8:30 pm at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. The funeral service will be held Saturday at 1:00 pm at Rock Springs Baptist Church. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery, West. Memorials may be made to Rock Springs Baptist Church, Building Fund, 201 Rock Springs Road, Easley, SC 29642 or Open Arms Hospice, 1836 W. Georgia Road, Simpsonville, SC 29680. The family is at the home of Sue and Paul Dickerson, 207 Watergate Drive, Piedmont.
